When Not To Wear A Denim Duster Coat

I’m a big fan of dusters, but if I’m headed out, horseback, on the range in the high country or North Dakota in December or January, there are other considerations. I’m going to have something substantially warmer than a denim duster coat on underneath it. I’m not going to actually be doing that, mind you…I’m just saying…

That’s just not what duster coats were designed for. The only dust you’re likely to encounter in the aforementioned situation would be a dusting of snow. I’m sure you already know, denim isn’t exactly the best protection in a snow storm. But even if you froze to death, you would surely look for all the world like a cowboy.
